3.      Agnes Nancy (Farrie) Faris (2.David2, 1.David1) born c. 1700, Ireland, ref: FarisFam, married c. 1766, in Ireland, John Smith, born 1686,  Ireland, (son of Richard Smith and (?)) ref: FarisFam, died 1766.  Agnes died 1773, SC.  is said to have come from Ireland with her son John, but is said to have "died on the way up from Charlestown" John: of the parish of Rasharkin, diocese of Connor, Co. Antrim.

Antrim, Ireland, near Ballymoney, ref: FarisFam, married Agnes Cowan, born 1749, ref: FairsFam, died 1832.  William died 1805, Turkey Creek, York Co., SC.  Had nine children. Immigrated to Washington Co, IN. arrived on ship Lord Dunluce on Dec 20, 1772.  Was awarded 200 acres of land (he 100, two dependants 50 acres ea.).  Was identified as William Fairy.

            11.      iv       John (Farrie) Faris born c. 1750, Co. Antrim, Ireland, near Ballymoney, ref: FarisFam, died c. 1790.  Name does not appear on five ships list, so might have immigrated with brother David earlier.  He "fought in the Rev. War; taken captive; had but one night to live; on his way the HQ at night was lodged in a log hut bound between two soldiers;Freed himself, fled and continued fightine until battle of Hanging Rock, SC where he was killed.  Child born soon after his death died".

Antrim, Ireland, near Ballymoney, (daughter of David (Farrie) Faris and (?)) ref: FarisFam, died c. 1833/8, SC.  John died Nov 4, 1784, Chester Dist, SC, buried: Moffatt-Strong-McDill Burying Ground.  Will was witnessed by James Harbison, James Chestnut, and James Faires (Faris). Arrived at Charlestown, SC on Dec 16, 1772 on the ship "Pennsylvania Farmer". with his sister Agnes and brother-in-law James Farrie.  Was granted 250 acres on a branch of Rocky Creek, in what was then Craven Co., - later became Chester Co. SC.  Another John Smith, from the same ship, received 100 acres on a branch of Mill Creek.

Antrim, Ireland, ref: FarisFam, married Feb 3, 1803, in Chester District, SC, Sarah Neill, born May 13, 1780, SC, (daughter of Thomas Neill and (?)) ref: FarisFam, died Jan 15, 1861, Bloomington, IN.  David died Dec 29, 1841, Bloomington, IN.  Chuldren born at Rocky Creek 1804 to 1821.  Provided a home to his widowed mother.  In 1815, he and his brother James sold the majority of their father's plantation to Robert Wilson.  Because of the slavery question, moved to Bloomington, IN in 1830.

Antrim, Ireland, near Ballymoney, ref: FarisFam, married c. 1780, in Chester Co, SC, Mary Ann Beckett, ref: FarisFam, died af. 1797.  James died c. 1800, Chester Co., SC.  Came on ship Pennsylvania Farmer from Belfast, Oct 16, 1772 - landed Charlsetown on Dec 19, 1772. with Sister Agnes Smith, her husband and family and John Smith's sister Agnes and her husband William McCreight.  He was awarded 100 acres - therefore no dependants.  There were a number of Smiths on the Hopwell, with John Smith receiving 450 acres, meaning 100 for him and 50 each for 7 dependants.  The McCreights were David-150 a., David-200 a., James-100a., William 400 a.
